New
to printed checks ?? Which check to order ? |
 |
Your relieved to have your books automated -(QuickBooks/Quicken
- have 18 million users - it's the best small business software on the
market today) - and your ready for the next step. Printed checks.
But, which style to order ??
Here are a few things to consider:
Voucher style checks
Do you need checks that work for both payroll and
accounts payable ? If so, the only check to use is the voucher style
check. It has the check at the top. 3 1/2" check, Blank stub in the
middle (3 1/2" blank stub) and another blank stub at the bottom (You
detach this part for your records) All of the check stub info that prints
on the middle stub, also prints on the bottom stub. The bottom stub that
is detached, is stapled to your bill, as a record of proof payment.
If you just need checks to pay bills, the voucher style
works great too. Again, the stub in the middle goes with the check, to
show the vendor what the payment is for. You retain the bottom portion,
for your records. stapling to the bill.
The voucher style check is what 80-90% of our customers
order.

3-to-a-page Checks
If you don't need a voucher of any type for remittance
on the check, the 3-to-a-page standard check is the one to use.
As the name says, this has three checks per page, with
no voucher.

3-to-a-page Wallet style
Another style, proving to be popular is the 3-to-a-page
wallet style. This is similar to the 3-to-a-page. The check is smaller and
it has a stub on the left side, which detaches from the check. Not recommended
for business use, do to it's size. (click
